Activity 1:

Password-protected User Account Setup

• Add your password to your account (this will be used later for email as well)
• Customize your User settings

Create a new password -- alphanumeric, upper and lower case sensitive with 6-8 characters -- write that password on the provided index card.

Activity 2:

Adding/Removing application shortcuts on the Dock

• Locating application(s) in your applications folder and adding a shortcut
  • Example- Locate "System Preferences" under your Applications and move to your dock
• Removing unused applications from your Dock

Working with your Trackpad/Mouse

• Open System Preferences and click on "Trackpad"
• Gestures similar to iOS devices

Activity 3:

Setting up a personal folder in Documents

• In the orientation, you will create at least one folder to store your files/documents on your MacBook
• Additional folders can be created to help you organize your files
